Opening the package is something special, what a surprise! Loved it and so glad I ordered through here rather than Amazon for that reason…so much love and care which very much reflects the style of the book as well :) As for the story — WOW what a ride! Just finished reading and the last act unexpectedly had me in tears with my heart pounding all the way to the end! Such a satisfying finale to a well-crafted page turner from the very beginning. It’s so much fun to go on this journey with Jane — as her world expands, so does yours. There seems to be a reason for every little detail and it all comes together so beautifully. I found each character to be relatable, from their fears to their growth, and the contrasts in the world timeless but fascinatingly refreshing. Tilton is clearly a masterful storyteller who knows how to simplify complex concepts to pack a serious punch in unique and thoughtful ways. The power of story and memories, coping with grief and the importance of family are woven throughout, but especially hit hard at the end. I also love that one of the main lessons is having the courage to push through fear and that challenges make us stronger — such a relevant message in our world today, and this novel expresses it with such clarity and heart. Both paperback and audiobook are fantastic — a fun, easy read and passionate narrator who does all the voices! Overall, a thrilling and immersive experience that is highly recommended and altogether grand! :)
